EARLY COLOUR PRINT Cut from a magazine and mounted on card. 8½" x 10¾". c1858. Titled: "Departure of The Princess Royal of England : now Imperial Princess of Germany." The illustration features a twin funnelled, three masted, paddle steamer dressed overall and many skiffs carrying waving well wishers. NB: Victoria Adelaide Mary Louise, the Princess Royal was the eldest child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and after her marriage became Crown Princess of Prussia and later (1888), Her Imperial Majesty, Empress of Germany.
