and stouts labels in pristine condition with some multiples making a
total of 64. Mostly 1940s, some 1950s, most with gummed backs. From
breweries in cities and towns all over England and one in Scotland. SHOP WALL CARD ADVERTISING RHUM. S & S
& Co Old Tempo Rhum des Antille Francaise. Coloured printed card
with grommetted hanging hole 9¾" x 13¾" ca pre WW II. PRE-WW1 FOOD & BEVERAGE LABELS and
wrappers, unused, for tea, coffee, mixed spice, egg preserver, pepper,
sweet almonds, golden syrup. This selection: the smallest: 1" x
0½" the largest: 10" x 9", circular and rectangular. Papers and
printing in a variety of colours. Believed: 1890-1910 most printed for
Peter Leech, Whitehaven. ILLUSTRATED CARTON PASTE-ON WRAPPERS. 1930s.
1 Chipso, 1 IPSO. Long oblongs. U.S. TEA, COFFEE & VINEGAR LABELS . Ten
mixed unused tea and coffee labels printed for the Fishback Co.,
Indianapolis and a couple of odds. COTTON CLOTH BALE LABELS. 1940s-1950s. A
collection of twenty-two gummed labels formerly used for sticking on
crates and bales of made up cotton cloth for export to the Middle and
Far East. These very colourful shipping labels were still in use in the
1950's after which the Lancashire cotton spinning industry began its
